Right by the station you board the open-top sightseeing bus where you'll get a bird's-eye view of this majestic city! The hop-on hop-off ticket allows you the freedom to leave and re-join the bus as often as you like.
You will see the Old Town quarter, the Scotch Whisky Heritage Centre, the gloriously intricate Scott Monument, the Palace of Holyrood House and the brand new Scottish Parliament building. You might want to wander through the cobbled city centre streets or stroll along Princes Street checking out the tartan, whisky and shortbreads that have made Scotland famous! Your tour includes tickets to Edinburgh Castle.
Edinburgh Castle
Towering above the city in medieval splendour, Edinburgh Castle stands at the top end of the Royal Mile in the Edinburgh's "Old Town". The oldest part of the caslte, St Margaret's Chapel, dates from the 12th century, while the Great Hall was erected by James IV in around 1510. The castle is home to the Honours (The Scottish Crown Jewels) and the National War Museum of Scotland.
The Royal Mile
The original city centre, with winding lanes and dark alleys, the Royal Mile runs down from Edinburgh Castle through the Old Town to Holyrood Palace. Much of the street is still cobbled and is lined with museums, churches and historic buildings dating back to the 15th century.
