Probably the world's most famous zoo, ZSL London Zoo has been entertaining and delighting visitors since it opened to the public in 1847. With over 760 animal species, exciting and innovative new exhibits and heritage listed buildings almost as famous as their inhabitants, it's a great day out!

Land of the Lions

ZSL London Zoo has opened its biggest and most breath-taking experience yet: Land of the Lions. Home to a pride of endangered Asiatic lions, the £5.7m Land of the Lions features an awe-inspiring 'windowless-view' of the big cat's enclosure. Enter the crumbling ruin of an amphitheatre style Lion Temple and see the majestic big cats roaming just metres away, separated only by fine wires. Land of the Lions will help to support ZSL's international conversation efforts to protect Asiatic Lions.

Tiger Territory

Visitors to Tiger Territory will embark on a journey through an Indonesian habitat, coming face-to-face with beautiful tigers through the floor-to-ceiling glass windows. Tiger Territory takes visitors closer than ever to the natural environment of one of nature's most awesome predators and brings to light the conservation issues these creatures face in the wild.

Penguins & Gorillas

Head down to the beach and observe London's largest colony of Humboldt Penguins as they swim, dive, frolic and feed. Move through lush forested pathways and come face to face with the majestic Western Lowland Gorilla, and wander from day through into night in London's only living rainforest.

Children's Zoo

Meet your favourite farm animals like cows, sheep, pigs, goats and chickens in this hands-on petting zoo, alongside some less common animal species like llamas and alpacas.

Summer: 10.00am - 5.30pm
Winter: 10.00am - 4.00pm
Closed Christmas Day
Last admission is one hour before advertised closing time.

Please note, you will require a printed copy of your ticket. Children under 16 will not be admitted without an adult.
